"This is a quiet (for Italy) hotel, a short walk to shopping, the castle and the beach. Free internet acess in the lobby. Desk staff very helpful, cleaning ladies less so. Nice basic spa treatments, Claudia was a great shiatzu therapist. Lots of funky dance and aerobics lessons by the pool. Not a lot of english spoken at the hotel or in town. Some german spoken throughout. My basic, present tense-where-what-when-thank-you-very-much was enough. If you haven't been to this island before it's a great place to go in Italy in the summer without being over run by Americans. I felt safe travelling as a woman alone, but keep in mind the men are very persistant."

Hotel Villa Durrueli
is a four stars hotel few steps from the beach in one of Ischia's most characteristic and ancient areas, Ischia Ponte.
