Itinerarium Rosaliae

It is a journey to discover the Inland of Sicily. This trip is unusual in that it allows you to touch the places where Santa Rosalia passed.

The Rosaliae Itinerarium winds along a network made up of “regie trazzere”, mule track and disused railroads. Itinerarium is a walkable path that can be ridden on foot or on horseback, and allows you to explore evocative destinations rich in tradition, gastronomic excellence, and areas of exceptional beauty.

The route of about 185 kilometers, developes from the Santa Rosalia Sanctuary of Monte Pellegrino in Palermo to the Eremo of Santa Rosalia alla Quisquina in the province of Agrigento, and vice versa crossing the natural areas of Monte Cammarata, Monte Carcaci, Monti di Palazzo Adriano, Valle del Sosio, Monte Genoardo and Santa Maria del Bosco, Bosco della Ficuzza, Rocca Busambra, Bosco del Cappelliere, Gorgo del Drago, Serra della Pizzuta, Monte Pellegrino e il Parco dei Monti Sicani.

This is a great place to meditate and contemplate. It also offers breathtaking views and incredible landmarks.

LabGis Osservatorio Türistico Regione Siciliana has created a regional web map with routes and paths to sustainable mobility. This was done in collaboration with FIAB Sicilia e CAI SIcilia
